This privacy policy describes how Nuvo processes personal data on the website https://nuvo.fi and related services. We process personal data in accordance with applicable data protection law, in particular the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. What personal data we process
We only process personal data that is necessary for the purposes described below.
Website use
- technical log data (for example IP address, browser, operating system, referring page)
- data collected via cookies and similar technologies (see cookie policy)
- your cookie preferences (stored in your browser)
Contact and customer service
If you contact us by email, phone or during a salon visit, we process the information you provide (for example name, contact details and message content) for communication and customer service.
Online booking
Online booking on our website is handled through the Phorest booking system. Phorest collects and processes booking-related data as its own controller or processor. Please read Phorest's privacy and cookie policies when making a booking.
Recruitment form
You can submit a job application via our careers page. The form processes the following data:
- name
- email address
- phone number
- optional additional information (free text field)
- optional attachments (for example application, CV or portfolio)
- technical data related to form submission (for example security check)
Submitting an application requires that you accept processing under this policy for recruitment purposes.
3. Purposes and legal bases
- Website operation and security – legitimate interest and service delivery
- Analytics and site improvement – consent when you accept analytics cookies
- Customer service and communication – legitimate interest and/or contract performance
- Recruitment – processing applications for recruitment (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)) and consent you provide (Article 6(1)(a))
- Legal obligations – processing required by law where applicable
4. Retention
We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes of processing or as required by law.
- Job applications: we retain applications and attachments for up to 12 months from receipt, unless a longer period is required by the recruitment process or law. Applications can be deleted earlier on request if the recruitment process has ended.
- Customer communication: retention depends on the nature of communication and the customer relationship.
- Technical logs: retained for a limited period for security and incident investigation.
5. Disclosure and processors
We do not sell your personal data. We may use trusted service providers who process data on our behalf under contractual arrangements.
- Cloudflare – site hosting, security and Turnstile security check on the careers form
- Resend – forwarding job applications to us by email
- Google Tag Manager / analytics – only with your consent (see cookie policy)
- Phorest – online bookings in a separate service
Some providers may process data outside the EU/EEA. In such cases we use appropriate safeguards, such as EU standard contractual clauses or other arrangements permitted by law.
6. Your rights
Under data protection law you have the right, among other things, to:
- access your personal data
- request rectification or erasure
- restrict or object to processing in certain situations
- withdraw consent (without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal)
- data portability where processing is based on consent or contract

7. Right to lodge a complaint
If you believe your personal data is processed unlawfully, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Finland the authority is the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman (tietosuoja.fi).
